After waiting almost 4 months after the Necropolis re-release, I almost pissed my pants when this showed up in the mail. Sporting THE most disgusting cover art I've ever seen, I was eager to hear it after waiting so long, the return of the mexican crack zombies!

The disc starts off with Jism Adipose Carbonization and I was immediately happy, knowing that Disgorge were back and still maintaining the intensity of there debut. Unlike many other bands, Disgorge actually increased the brutality and speed on their sophomore release. On this track (and the whole disc practically) Guillermo is a complete Maniac on the drums, he flies all over the place! He must be smoking some of that fine Mexican crack or something. This time around, the vocals have more depth in them than Chronic Corpora Infest. Scid is another great track, with a great blast part in the song.

One thing that makes them stand out from other gore grind bands is that, while they definitely have a Carcass influence, they don't just copy the sound and down-tuning from the Carcass influence; they actually capture the energy of early Carcass, the energy which led them to make some of the best music in the world... This is sort of hard to explain but I remember listening to Forensick and Chronic Corpora Infest and feeling they were the demented, evil illegitimate child of Carcass, not just another Carcass clone. While I'm not saying that this album is as important as Reek of Putrefaction, Horrified or Ultimo Mondo Canibal, Disgorge bring new life into the scene and have infested themselves in the corpse of gore grind music.

As I've said before (see my Chronic Corpora Infest review) Disgorge have a unique, interesting sense of rhythm in their songs, specifically in the drums. This is most evident on Jaundice of Hookworm and Haemorph Endartenectomized Punzed Eozinophile, where the drums never bore the listener. At times, Guillermo seems like he is almost freely banging on the drums not even knowing what he is going to do next.

Crevice Flux Warts is probably the most unique track. It has a very annoying 1 1/2 minute intro of a female choir singing (I don't know why, this does not fit into the music at all!). This track also features Corpse Grinder (Cannibal Corpse) on guest vocals. The music has a more death metal flavor to it, and even sounds a bit like Cannibal Corpse (perhaps in homage to them?). What disappointed me was that Corpse Grinder wasn't on there that long, and only featured him using his slower, stretched out harsh vocals.

On to the next song. Silks Sphincter Anal Lumen starts off with another retarded sample (for some reason I always hate Disgorge's samples) and the song abruptly starts with one of the sickest riffs I've heard in a while. The song progresses and has some slower, heavier parts and ends with an outro of the second half of the sample. This ends the normal cd.

Included as bonus songs are 2 live tracks and 2 songs off their split ep with Squash Bowels.

My only complaint about this album is the production. It sucks. Disgorge deserve a much better production than this! The bass needs more emphasis, the instruments also need identity, but most of all is the sound. Really noisy and scratchy, and if you turn it up to hear it better it just drowns it out even more. But, then again, production isn't everything and if it was Reek of Putrefaction and many other albums would lose their value if production was the biggest factor.

Despite it's horrible production, Forensick is a must-have for any gore grind/death fiend and is definitely going to be in my Top 5 list at the end of the year! Hell, this might even be in my top 5 of all time.
