HIDEOUS MANGLEUS
All of whom had played together in previous punk, and hardcore/speedcore efforts. In the spring of the following year. "Hideous" released a 16 track demo entitled "All Your Friends Are Dead". Quickly ensnaring the worldwide underground with their projectile vomit vocals and catchy (but skullcrushing) riffs and percussion. As well as, their blood curdling/thought provoking lyrics and moniker. This release also spawned the interest of French independent label THRASH records. Which led to the bands next release, the "We Live..You Sleep" 7"EP in the fall of '91. This release again found "Hideous" truely being hailed as "Ghouls of Grind". And almost led to the band playing in Europe (in support of the likes of CARCASS, and PUNGENT STENCH) but due to some tragic circumstances the "European Horror tour" had to be cancelled. This set back didn't keep these demons from terrorizing the northeast coast (playing with INCANTATION, DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, A.C./ShitScum, BRUTAL TRUTH, etc).
And at this time REPULSE RECORDS is also working on repressing the "AYFAD" CD , that will contain a re-designed (by Sam) larger cover booklet and a much broader distribution. So all you UG heads that were unable to get your hands on the limited first pressing will be able to score this classick release! Shirts, Posters, and all kinda other goodies are sure to follow!!! HAIL UNDERGROUND!!! HAIL HIDEOUS!!!

MANGLEUS formed in March of '89. After a few line-up changes culminating
with Sam Biles-Vocals, "Feev"-Guitars, Joel Bonde-Bass, and Curt Bonde-Skins.
About
this time, an excellent review in Maximum R&R lead to the band working
with another independent label. In the summer of '92, "Hideous" released
the "Unearthing Grandma's Grave" 7"EP. On Ecocentric Records (Germany).
A quote on the sleeve explains "This is what you're going to hear in
hell." And after a listen all your doubts are dispelled. As one 'zine
writes "Already cults are being formed in obscure places around the
world that devotes their entire time and spirit ot HIDEOUS MANGLEUS."
College and moving led the band to a temporary slumber. But awakened
by the summons of grind fanatics and vampires worldwide. "The Ghouls
Of Grind", again working with Ecocentric Records, released their first
full-length CD. And again using the title "All Your Friends Are Dead"
due to the overwhelming suggestion, and ferver expressed towards this
title from "Hideous Heads" worldwide. Containing 29 brutalizing tracks.
This slab was embraced by the WorldWide Underground as a genuine masterpiece
of grind, and added many minions to the Hideous Legions around the world.
About
this time an "OldSkool" Hideous fan, Dave Rotten, who believed the "AYFAD"
CD to be a post-humous release, contacted Sam to express his appreciation
of Hideous' music, and to see if these sickfucks would be interested
in working on a new disc for The World's Sickest Record Label. Well
my friends, I'm glad to say in summer 2.001, The Horror-Core Holocaust
will continue with an all new full-length CD release from these Brilliant
Bastards!!!
